I have been listening carefully to the past goings on on the email listserv about the diesels getting (or not) enough air during operation. And all of this possibly causing problems.

I thought hard about it for quite some time, but for only $25.00 I didn't think some extra ventilation could hurt at all.

I opted for the vent here instead of the louvered ones inside the cockpit in hopes of reducing the noise some. I'll never know if that was the case......

The vent has a shut-off underneath for rough weather/seas. Yeah, I know, opening the hatch could be tricky under those conditions, so I better do it early (kinda like reefing!).
