Projects - Tips
- On Refrigerator
Ventilation
- By the way, one
word of caution. When we took delivery of our boat, Tony went
to great lengths to advise me not to restrict air flow around
the back of the fridge (through the clam shell vents) as they
are sized to provide the minimum ventilation for the fridge
to work efficiently. He went so far as to say that I shouldn't
even put screening over them (for insect preclusion). Even this
could cause restrictred air flow. When I saw your vhf speaker
and extra insulation, I was reminded of these precautions. Our
boat is older than yours so maybe the newer generation fridge
is not as much of a problem. Good luck.
